Nose: Peat smoke, sea salt, citrus peel, and earthy spice
Palate: Bold and smoky with notes of brine, pepper, and toasted oak
Finish: Long and intense with lingering smoke and coastal freshness
The nose is intense, complex and fine, with floral notes of lavender, rose and violet, hints of red fruits such as blackcurrant, strawberry and blackberry, but especially ripe cherry. Tertiary notes of oak, toasted bacon and coffee, and spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg come from barrel ageing. Dry, warm and supple, with a lovely freshness on the palate, quite savory and silky, enveloping tannins. Full-bodied, balanced, intense, persistent and of excellent quality.
The aromatic expression is intense and complex. It evokes black fruits and spices, with hints of licorice and leather. Tasting reveals finesse and elegance. The tannic structure is solid yet smooth. A round, fleshy wine, perfectly balanced.
