A blend of two casks with complementary characteristics: one finished for 64 months in second-fill Oloroso sherry, the other for the same period in second-fill Pedro Ximenez.
Nose: Smooth and soft. Orange cream cake, a hint of vanilla, light slivered almond note and a slight green note. A drop of water enhances the waxy note.
Mouth: Creamy, sweet, note of Seville orange peel before drying out, a little peppery spiciness. A drop of water softens the taste and reduces acidity, but does not alter the overall profile.
Nose: Intense notes of peat, smoke and dried fruit emerge on the nose, foreshadowing a robust and complex taste experience. Mouth: On the palate, this Lagavulin 12-Year-Old reveals deep flavors of caramel, vanilla and spice, balanced by a subtle touch of sea salt. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of peat and burnt oak on the palate.
Nose: Punchy sweet oak and fresh vanilla pods, mingled with toasted coconut and flaked almonds. Notes of lemon zest and poached, spiced pears emerge with time.
Palate: A wonderful balance of Speyside fruit and oak spice. Sweet cinnamon sugar, vanilla custard, and melting banana toffee, layered with earthy nuts and a distinct caramelised warmth from the toasting.
Finish: Long, warm, and slightly dry, featuring lingering oak spice, fennel, and subtle hints of menthol and tobacco.
Nose: Rich in dried fruit and slightly vinous, notes of breakfast cereal.
Mouth: Notes of cereal, orange, marzipan, slightly tannic, medium-bodied, fresh and mineral with notes of toast and pastry.
Finish: Dry, spicy a pleasant contrast of honey and salted peanuts.
