Laphroaig Cask Strength is an Islay scotch, bottled at the distillery's natural strength and not chill-filtered It has all the authentic depth, taste and texture associated with sampling whisky at source.
Laphroaig whisky is aged in seasoned oak casks, which are charred before filling to give it a slight sweet vanilla note.
Laphroaig 10 years Cask Strength is barrier-filtered, just to remove small particles of charcoal.
This means you can enjoy exactly as we did, with very little intervention. In extreme temperatures and when you add water, it may seem a little cloudy - this is the natural condition of a peated whisky of uncompromising purity.
The addition of a little water releases a rich peaty smoke aroma with a certain sweetness and strong marine notes. Emphatic, full-bodied and utterly unforgettable - we like to think it's the purists' choice.
