Nose: Sweet and rich, with fruity aromas suggesting baked apple, pear and peach. These are soon joined by a rich caramel note, reminiscent of sweet butterscotch. All these aromas are mellow, round and mouth-watering.
Mouth: Firm and full-bodied, richly fruity from the start, the powerful, fresh taste soon becomes deliciously sweet and salty, with a hint of salt amid the spicy intensity.
Finish: Quite long, it finishes smoothly, dry, slightly spicy and slightly refreshing.
Deep and full-flavored, this mature Benrinnes is a vibrant, opulent dram that offers big waves of rich, fruity flavors while retaining splendid balance and will be enjoyed anytime. Double matured in American and European oak wine casks.
R: Deep amber with golden highlights. Nose: Notes of oak, cedar, sandalwood and candied fruit. Mouth: Silky. Notes of raisin and oak. Subtle reminiscences of ginger and cinnamon. Finish: Touch of nutmeg.
Nose: Pungent, oily, spicy molasses notes envelop creosote and smoky herbs. Roasted apples and raisins reveal a softer underside. With water, eucalyptus and menthol appear, while fennel and pine follow.
Mouth: Surprisingly balanced, the sizzling palate leads to peat smoke, coffee gruel and currants. Sweet lemon balm mingles with smoky tangerines, followed by a lively, smoky taste.
Finish: A long, sinuous finish brings subtle notes of vanilla and smoked butter.
