This cask-aged expression was initially matured in ex-Bourbon first-fill casks before being transferred for secondary maturation to smaller Quarter casks also made from the finest American oak. The process of transferring our whisky to smaller 125-liter casks produces much greater contact between the whisky and the oak, and a faster, more intense maturation.
