PEAT is the perfect expression of smoky whisky, with all the coastal character you'd expect from an island whisky, as well as a balanced sweetness.

a handful of distilleries have been chosen from across the island to create an Islay blended malt, taking the distinct character of each and bringing them together to celebrate peat.

Nose: Sweet with milk chocolate, butterscotch, roasted nuts, dried fruit and cigar smoke.

Mouth: Creamy, rich, raisins, almond nougat, caramel, dried figs, sweet spices, clove and maple syrup.

Finish: Soft and persistent with roasted spices, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Nose: Punchy sweet oak and fresh vanilla pods, mingled with toasted coconut and flaked almonds. Notes of lemon zest and poached, spiced pears emerge with time.

Palate: A wonderful balance of Speyside fruit and oak spice. Sweet cinnamon sugar, vanilla custard, and melting banana toffee, layered with earthy nuts and a distinct caramelised warmth from the toasting.

Finish: Long, warm, and slightly dry, featuring lingering oak spice, fennel, and subtle hints of menthol and tobacco.

Nose: Through orange chocolate and crème brûlee comes perfume and spice — rose petals, lilac, and carnation, chased by cumin, saffron, and nutmeg. Add water, and delicate fruits and a fresh menthol breeze sneak out. 

Palate: Ginger, black pepper, and mint are followed by toffee, demerara sugar, and sugar-coated almonds. Then comes that eucalyptus lift with marmalade and dark chocolate in the backdrop. 

Finish: The finish lingers with clove, leather, and peppermint, leaving your tongue humming like it’s been on a spice-market bar crawl.

Nose: Light notes of honey and vanilla, fruity and spicy scents.

Mouth: Aromas of oak, clove and honey.

Finish: Long with harmonious sweetness.

Nose: Mellow, starts with a mineral and maritime theme, then becomes softer and rounder (caramel) with an earthy note.

Mouth: Sweet, vanilla, rich and powerful, a touch of salt and pepper.

Nose: Caol Ila's Port Askaig 8 Year Old offers intense aromas of peat smoke, sea salt and fruity notes.

Mouth: On the palate, this single malt from Scotland's Isle of Islay reveals flavors of peat, black pepper, vanilla and dried fruit.

Finish: The finish of this whisky is long and persistent, leaving saline and smoky notes on the palate characteristic of Islay whiskies.

Nose: Notes of subtly spiced cereals, mango, papaya and pea pods. Traces of hard toffee and light oak chips. A drop of water reveals notes of cinnamon brioche and salted caramel.

Mouth: Silky and fluid with an intense taste of sweet butterscotch, a spicy-dry and woody intensity. The addition of water softens the honeyed sweetness of the creamy, smooth Swiss milk chocolate, with just a hint of salt in the mid-palate. The mild spices now keep the sweetness in check.

Finish: Short and rather intense, with spicy chili pepper notes.

Nose: Discreet, citric fruitiness; a mouth-watering whiff. Appetizing, with little or no trace of smoke, almond oil and old-fashioned wax.


Mouth: pleasantly smoky, sweet, a little salt and sweet notes.


Finish: soft and persistent, slightly acidic.

Nose: Honey, leather and gingerbread, followed by prunes and fresh lemon peel.

Mouth: Velvety texture, dark chocolate, tropical fruit and spice.

Finish: Long and mellow, with notes of vanilla and citrus.
