Named after the distillery's water source. Uigeadail (pronounced 'Oog-a-dal') is Gaelic for 'a dark and mysterious place'. This whisky is a marriage of sweetness, spice and deep smoke. The peat-laden waters of Loch Uigeadail provide the whisky's smoky tones, while maturation in ancient bourbon and sherry casks imparts rich, warm flavors.
Nose: Lively, sweet, soft fire smoke, marine, a hint of lemon. Apricot jam, hints of candied ginger and cracked black pepper.
Taste: Sweet coastal peat smoke, pineapple and apples. Oatmeal cookies, notes of heather honey and a gentle hint of tobacco all combine to give a formidable balance.
