Nose: Very distinctively oily, with touches of extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, aromatic herbs (coriander & sage) and a suggestion of smoked lemon peel. A splash of water releases more oiliness, like linseed oil, a gentle waxiness, and a burst of perfumed, aromatic carbolic soap, and finally, a whiff of crème brulee.
Mouth: A soft, oily, mouthcoating texture leads into a rich, sweet, smoky palate, with hints of oak moss, treacle, aniseed lozenges and a lovely, sweet, woody/balsamic flavour. This is then followed by smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil.
Finish: Finally comes a lingering, sweet/smoky aftertaste, with a touch of cumin, cardamon and the merest hint of coconut.

Nose: Delicate aromas of dried fruit, honey and vanilla.
Mouth: There are notes of caramel, ripe fruit and toasted oak, offering a balanced and harmonious taste experience.
Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving spicy, woody notes on the palate that linger pleasantly.

Nose: Sherry, creamy caramel with a hint of toffee, notes of candied Seville oranges and freshly cut oak.

Taste: Delicious notes of honey, spicy wood and citrus.

Finish: On Sherry and oak, smoothness and complexity.

Nose: Hazelnut and smoke, accompanied by malty sweetness and ripe fruit. Then come apricots in syrup, ripe pear, malted vanilla reminiscent of cracked barley, crème brûlée and sweet honey. The smoky peat note is discreet but nevertheless quite present. This evokes shoe polish and leather and earth.

Mouth: Soft and mellow, comes the heavily roasted malt reminiscent of smoked muesli with fruit and honey. Then come smoked apricot jam, crushed barley, peat, burnt heather, citrus and redcurrant. With a drop of water, its smoke and elegant minerality become stronger, offering a magnificent counterbalance to its sweetness.



Finish: Sweet with earthy flavors, followed by a smoky, spicy and herbal note.

Nose: Caol Ila's Port Askaig 8 Year Old offers intense aromas of peat smoke, sea salt and fruity notes.

Finish: Woody and spicy, reminiscent of tropical fruit. A hint of leather and beeswax.

Nose: Sweet and delicate, a little spicy and deeply exotic. Viney, suggesting white grapes and Manzanilla sherry, then becomes lush, floral and fruity. A hint of vanilla caramel gradually appears. A drop of water lifts the citrus notes and adds hints of sweet caramel.

Mouth: The texture is soft and creamy, the taste is slightly sweet and fruity. It then becomes more lively, with acidity and spicy, peppery, drying tannins. A drop of water initially brings out the fruitiness without diminishing the spice.

Finish: Medium to long, finishing on a dry, tongue-tingling, warmly spicy note with fruity acidity and a pinch of white pepper.
