Taste: Sweet coastal peat smoke, pineapple and apples. Oatmeal cookies, notes of heather honey and a gentle hint of tobacco all combine to give a formidable balance.
At Glenglassaugh, in addition to traditional production, they also produce a very limited quantity of richly peated malted barley. The peat gives the whisky its unique smoky flavor. Glenglassaugh 'Torfa', with its peaty, phenolic character, is a unique expression, different from the usual style of Highland whiskies.
