The 9-year-old Bowmore is a single malt Scotch whisky that has been matured in a combination of ex-American oak bourbon casks and ex-European oak Oloroso sherry casks before being carefully married and bottled.
Nose: Inchdairnie's Ryelow whisky, from Scotland's Lowlands, reveals intense, complex rye aromas. Notes of cereals, spices and dried fruits are present.
Palate: On the palate, this 6-year-old Rye whisky offers a rich, creamy texture. Rye flavors are prominent, accompanied by notes of vanilla, caramel and black pepper.
Finish: Ryelow's finish is long and warm, leaving spicy, woody notes that linger pleasantly on the palate. A whisky rich in character and complexity, to be discovered by lovers of rye whiskies.
Nose: Rich, earthy, smoky and spicy, with a marvellous combination of toffee, tar and creosote, coffee grounds and sea spray. Mouth: The texture is mouth filling and noticeably spicy, and the palate is surprised by an immediate and intense sweetness, reminiscent of smoked cinnamon and paprika. Finish: The aftertaste is mentholic and almost cooling, with hints of eucalyptus and antiseptic lozenges.
Nose: Caperdonich Sig.2000/20 ans reveals subtle aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and honey, complemented by spicy and woody notes. Feel: On the palate, this single malt offers a rich, creamy texture, with flavors of candied fruit, caramel and nuts, balanced by hints of pepper and oak. Finish: The finish of this whisky is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of sweet fruit and malted grain.
Nose: Sweet and rich, with fruity aromas suggesting baked apple, pear and peach. These are soon joined by a rich caramel note, reminiscent of sweet butterscotch. All these aromas are mellow, round and mouth-watering.
Mouth: Firm and full-bodied, richly fruity from the start, the powerful, fresh taste soon becomes deliciously sweet and salty, with a hint of salt amid the spicy intensity.
Finish: Quite long, it finishes smoothly, dry, slightly spicy and slightly refreshing.
Nose: Notes of subtly spiced cereals, mango, papaya and pea pods. Traces of hard toffee and light oak chips. A drop of water reveals notes of cinnamon brioche and salted caramel.
Mouth: Silky and fluid with an intense taste of sweet butterscotch, a spicy-dry and woody intensity. The addition of water softens the honeyed sweetness of the creamy, smooth Swiss milk chocolate, with just a hint of salt in the mid-palate. The mild spices now keep the sweetness in check.
Finish: Short and rather intense, with spicy chili pepper notes.
Nose: Dark chocolate, sweet accents of dried fruit and some Islay smoke with a fine maritime spiciness.
Mouth: Red fruits, sweet-spicy hints of oak and fine caramel syrup.
Finish: Strong and complex with light sherry and gentle Islay smoke notes.
