Timorous Beastie 'Meet the Beast' is a blend of single casks which are then bottled in cask strength at 13 years of age. Only 3,000 bottles were made. This charming field mouse may seem a little soft, but behind its adorable exterior lies a Malt monster brimming with explosive spice and great depth.



The original Timorous Beastie, immortalized in Robert Burns' famous Scottish poem 'To a Mouse', was a shy little field mouse. Echoing the spirit of our national bard, ours is certainly not for the faint-hearted!

Nose: Rich, with classic Arran apple notes. Lots of orange peel, tart citrus and sweet oak.
Palate: Rich, full-bodied and unctuous. Abundant orange peel and bitter citrus. Slight hints of vanilla brioche and dark chocolate.
Finish: Smooth and long. Coats the mouth. Again, lots of citrus, more oaky with age, with a subtle touch of dark chocolate and black cherries.

Nose: Smoke and peat typical of the distillery, very balsamic, with notes of camphor and medicinal herbs, damp earth and leather.

Taste: Licorice, full-bodied, powerful, a little vegetal and tannic. Almost a little sweet, but a drop of water makes it immediately dry and reveals a fruitier character (orange and cherry) that complements the exuberant peat smoke and earthy notes.

Finish: Intense with notes of ash, soot and licorice. A note of eucalyptus.
