Taking the ‘heart of the heart’ of our distillate – the spirit cut which contains the highest phenol content – ‘The Turbo’ entails an amplified smoky identity.
The 2025 Release is a combination of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso hogsheads. The result is a multifaceted whisky with a powerful punch of peat, hitting a hefty 72 PPM.
Nose: A bright and vibrant start to this dram, there are notes of green apples, gorse bush, wine gums, and a mineral note.
Palate: The palate is well balanced with a touch of peat smoke, and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate. Notes of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil develop.
Finish: The finish brings notes of honey and gooseberries.
N. Aromas of wood fire and heather, followed by the sweetness of oak and caramelized apples. Mouth: Smoky notes alternating with vanilla and caramel aromas and discreet fruity hints. Finish: Striking harmony between the harshness of smoke and the sweetness of oak.
A versatile, smooth and easy-drinking whisky, with a good balance of sweet and dry notes and a medium-length finish. This 12-year-old single malt whisky is surprisingly rich and sherried, with notes of baked fruits, spices and chocolate.
Nose: Tamdhu bt.8 Cask Strenght reveals rich, intense aromas of ripe fruit, honey, vanilla and spicy notes. Feel: On the palate, this single malt offers an explosion of complex, balanced flavors, with notes of dried fruit, toasty oak, caramel and cinnamon. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of candied fruit and dark chocolate.
Nose: Charcoal, chocolate and spice. Deep smouldering charred peat notes layered with a wash of maritime brine. Sweet and citrusy; vanilla, lemon zest and butterscotch. A hint of cinnamon spice, plums and dates draws you in and invites you to take a sip.
Palate: A roar of intense peaty characters which tingle and warms the palette, intermingled with notes of roasted cocoa beans and bitter dark chocolate. As the rich phenolic characters subside, a tangy fruitiness comes to the fore with the introduction of blackberry, plum, and gooseberry notes with indulgent characters of a crème brûlée.
Finish: Long-lasting and drying, with elongated notes of iodine, leather and sooty chimney smoke
Nose: Manuka honey, toasted caramel and smoked cedarwood, with butterscotch, treacle tart and spiced orange peel.
Taste: Heather honey, roasted hazelnuts and baking spices, followed by ginger, mocha and molasses, with smouldering oak, dark chocolate and plum jam.
