This rum is based on the original Royal Navy rum recipe, which Albert Heinrich Riise created and delivered to the ships of the Danish navy fleet. History books tell us that, in those days, a qualified Danish sailor was entitled to a certain amount of rum each day as pay. In addition to the sailors' rum rations, other barrels were also shipped to Denmark for export. AH Riise Danish Navy Rum matures for 20 years in selected small oak casks, giving this product aromas of coffee, anise, licorice and various spices. There's also sweet caramel and molasses with fruity accents of bitter orange and bergamot.
