This rum is based on the original Royal Navy rum recipe, which Albert Heinrich Riise created and delivered to the ships of the Danish navy fleet. History books tell us that, in those days, a qualified Danish sailor was entitled to a certain amount of rum each day as pay. In addition to the sailors' rum rations, other barrels were also shipped to Denmark for export. AH Riise Danish Navy Rum matures for 20 years in selected small oak casks, giving this product aromas of coffee, anise, licorice and various spices. There's also sweet caramel and molasses with fruity accents of bitter orange and bergamot.
Nose: Sweet aromas of chocolate and toffee emerge delicately, foreshadowing an indulgent tasting experience. Mouth: On the palate, rich chocolate notes mingle with the sweetness of toffee, offering a unique, savory taste experience. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving a deliciously sweet, chocolatey sensation on the palate.
Nose: Full, round woody notes due to the contact time of the rum with the selected oak casks.
Mouth: Notes of undergrowth and roasting (coffee, toast) are accompanied by more pronounced spices such as nutmeg, gradually giving way to sweeter notes of cinnamon and prunes.
