Named after the famous second-generation Master Distiller, Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy represents a selection of pot still whiskies that have been aged exclusively in American bourbon casks. Single Pot Still whisky is unique to Ireland in general and to Midleton, Co. Cork, in particular, and is considered the quintessential style of Irish whisky. Made from malted and unmalted barley mashed potato, then triple distilled in traditional copper stills, Pot Still whiskies are characterized by full, complex flavors and a wonderful creamy mouthfeel.
Nose: the whiskey delivers mango, papaya and yellow apple layered with walnut, fine oak, spice and a subtle chocolate note from the sherry. Palate: Broad, waxy and beautifully balanced, combining tropical fruits, Oloroso richness, warm spices and well‑integrated oak. Finish is long and comforting, extending the ripe fruit, wax and sherry notes without ever becoming heavy.
Nose: Proper N° Twelve reveals subtle aromas of cereal, vanilla and ripe fruit. Feel: On the palate, this whisky presents notes of honey, caramel and sweet spices, offering a velvety, balanced texture. Finish: The finish is long and warm, giving way to woody and smoky notes, for an intense and satisfying taste experience.
Yellow Spot 12 year old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is proudly produced exclusively for Mitchell & Son Wine Merchants, Dublin, where the brand was born. This whiskey contains single pot still components aged in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-malaga wine casks. This maturation gives this whiskey more complexity than its little brother Green Spot, but allows the more complex aspects of the Single Pot Still spirit to be explored in greater depth.
Nose: Smoky, peaty aromas emerge, accompanied by hints of vanilla and dried fruit. Mouth: On the palate, there are flavors of peat, burnt oak and honey, with a slight hint of pepper. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving notes of smoke and caramel on the palate.
