A long time ago, merchants travelled to the Far East to bring spices and aromatic herbs back to Europe. They traveled the historic spice route between Asia, northeast Africa and Europe, bringing a wide variety of exotic spices to the world. Some of these spices are found in Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin, to which they give that unmistakable 'oriental spiced taste'. Coriander seeds from Morocco dominate this London Dry Gin. This distilled gin is made at the Herman Jansen distillery in Schiedam, the gin's home town. Traditional Dutch spices and botanicals are distilled separately in a still. The distillates are then blended and brought to 42.5% alcohol by volume; a percentage chosen by our master distiller for the perfect balance between aroma and mouthfeel. A unique gin, blending the tradition of Schiedam juniper with the finest botanicals and spices.
