Nestled in the Forgue Valley in the Eastern Highlands, The GlenDronach is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. For almost 200 years, it has been crafting single malts of unparalleled quality, aged in sherry casks. The GlenDronach is an authentic Highland spirit: strong, powerful and brought to perfection by long maturation in sherry casks. To this day, The GlenDronach employs the traditional processes of its founder in 1826, James Allardice, and ages its whiskies in the finest Spanish Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks.
Nose: Fresh, sweet fruitiness of lemon zest and white grape, exotic (pink grapefruit and ripe mango). A particularly spicy, woody note hovers above. A drop of water dries out these aromas and introduces a pinch of white pepper.
Taste: Creamy, full texture with a sweet flavor. Fruity and malty behind that homemade rum caramel, exotic notes of spicy pineapple and green banana, made even more palatable by spicy, dry oak.
Nose: This single malt from Islay reveals delicate smoke mingling with sea spray, with citrus fruit quickly to the fore. Mouth: The peat is evident, unfurling a dry smoke that envelops orange biscuit flavours. Finis: With its pastry-like texture, is reminiscent of a lemon meringue pie that becomes subtly ashy. A whisky that is both fresh and deeply peaty.
Nose: Fruity aromas of red berries and spicy vanilla notes. Mouth: A creamy texture with flavors of ripe fruit, oak and caramel. Finish: A long, warm finish with notes of dried fruit and oak.
