Vintage whiskies from a closed distillery, single malts from rare individual Casks - for his Andrew Symington tracks down outstanding Scotch whiskies. In 1988, Andrew Symington founded the Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company Ltd. and since then has been bottling exclusive Casks from a wide range of Scottish distilleries from Pitlochry in the Highlands. His limited enjoyment experiences from single or a few Casks come onto the market in series - like “The Decanter Collection”.
Nose: Ardbeg 19-year-old Traigh Bhan Btn°7 reveals the smoky, peaty notes characteristic of Ardbeg distillery, with hints of vanilla and dried fruit. Feel: On the palate, this single malt offers a smooth texture with flavors of smoke, caramel, tropical fruit and sweet spices. Finish: The finish is long and warm, marked by notes of peat, pepper and dark chocolate.
Nose: Compass Box Hedonism reveals subtle aromas of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. Mouth: On the palate, this whisky reveals notes of crème brûlée, coconut and cinnamon, for a velvety, gourmet texture. Finish: The finish is long and sweet, giving way to nuances of honey and spice that linger pleasantly on the palate.
Nose: Burnt honey, barley sugar candies, very rich and intriguing. Maraschino cherries burning on a campfire, or red apple peel alongside rich cigar smoke.
Mouth: Malty, rich with an intensity of dark red berries. Genuine notes of cherry and cranberry with a touch of spice.
Finish: More spice, but with a salty sea note right at the end… truly refreshing.
