Distilled from the finest natural ingredients and matured in traditional warehouses over many years. Each batch is hand-bottled and produced in very small batches. Produced from barley malted to 42 ppm (phenol content), this Peat Smoke
is very intense. Produced from the finest Scottish barley, it is 100% matured in ex-bourbon casks.
Nose: Round, subtly smoky, creamy caramel, anise, molasses and date.
Mouth: Soft, creamy, syrupy and suave. Notes of caramel, anise, orange, smoked tea, sweet spices (nutmeg and cinnamon), subtle cigar smoke and a very unusual aroma of grilled artichoke.
Nose: Fairly sweet. Fresh, clean phenols immediately assert themselves, with aromas of fire on a beach and wood ash. They are supported by subtle fruity notes, some sweet, suggesting rowan jelly, others evoking unripe currants. With a drop of water, the ash is more present.
Mouth: Unctuous and with a texture that really fills the mouth, very sweet at first then quickly drying, with a hint of salt and a smoky taste of lip-smacking intensity. A drop of water brings out the sweetness even more, but makes little difference.
Finish: Long, powerfully smoky and drying, with a touch of spice that also lingers in the aftertaste.
A full-bodied, rich and spicy 12-year-old single malt whisky. Slightly dry on the finish, with an abundance of sherry notes and a hint of herbal menthol. An interesting whisky with an unusual aftertaste.
