Created by Whisky Maker Steven Bremner, this single malt combines incomparable coffee flavor with whisky notes to deliver an exceptional taste experience. As with Rich Cacao, the packaging and label are made from an organic by-product - the pods of coffee beans - and are 100% recyclable.
Nose: Tomintoul's Old Ballantruan 15 Year Old whisky offers subtle aromas of smoke, honey and dried fruit, typical of single malts from Scotland's Speyside region. Feel: On the palate, this whisky proves balanced with notes of peat, caramel and vanilla, offering a rich, complex texture. Finish: The finish of Old Ballantruan 15 Year Old is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of smoke and ripe fruit on the palate.
Nose: Hazelnut and smoke, accompanied by malty sweetness and ripe fruit. Then come apricots in syrup, ripe pear, malted vanilla reminiscent of cracked barley, crème brûlée and sweet honey. The smoky peat note is discreet but nevertheless quite present. This evokes shoe polish and leather and earth.
Mouth: Soft and mellow, comes the heavily roasted malt reminiscent of smoked muesli with fruit and honey. Then come smoked apricot jam, crushed barley, peat, burnt heather, citrus and redcurrant. With a drop of water, its smoke and elegant minerality become stronger, offering a magnificent counterbalance to its sweetness.
Finish: Sweet with earthy flavors, followed by a smoky, spicy and herbal note.
Nose: Tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread, raisins, almonds, sweet oak and vanilla.
Palate: Espresso, dark chocolate, raisins, Tiramisu, blackberries, vanilla, walnuts and sweet oak.
Finish: Persistent, intense roasted coffee notes, balanced and sweet.
