The Distillers Edition has undergone double maturation in Amontillado Sherry casks, whose nutty character has been elegantly chosen to complement and deepen Glenkinchie's sweet, dry character.
Nose: Fresh, sweet fruitiness of lemon zest and white grape, exotic (pink grapefruit and ripe mango). A particularly spicy, woody note hovers above. A drop of water dries out these aromas and introduces a pinch of white pepper.
Taste: Creamy, full texture with a sweet flavor. Fruity and malty behind that homemade rum caramel, exotic notes of spicy pineapple and green banana, made even more palatable by spicy, dry oak.
Nose: Tomatin Cask Strength reveals intense notes of ripe fruit, honey and spice, with a touch of vanilla. Feel: On the palate, this Scottish single malt reveals itself to be powerful and warm, with flavors of dried fruit, caramel and oak. Finish: The finish is long and spicy, leaving notes of black pepper and burnt wood on the palate.
Nose: Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old offers complex aromas of ripe fruit, honey and vanilla, with a touch of malt and oak.
Feel: On the palate, this Highland single malt reveals rich flavors of candied fruit, caramel and hazelnut, followed by spicy notes of cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: The finish is long and warm, with a subtle woody note and a light touch of smoke, leaving a sensation of softness and elegance on the palate.
Nose: Sweet and rich, with fruity aromas suggesting baked apple, pear and peach. These are soon joined by a rich caramel note, reminiscent of sweet butterscotch. All these aromas are mellow, round and mouth-watering.
Mouth: Firm and full-bodied, richly fruity from the start, the powerful, fresh taste soon becomes deliciously sweet and salty, with a hint of salt amid the spicy intensity.
Finish: Quite long, it finishes smoothly, dry, slightly spicy and slightly refreshing.
