When we received the keys to GlenAllachie, our master distiller Billy Walker immediately set to work and put his stamp on our whisky; Scotch barley, 120-hour fermentation, slow distillation. As a blender for over 40 years, the warehouses are where Billy really feels at home. Working in our 16 warehouses with casks dating back to the 1970s, Billy has selected a limited number of casks to be marketed as GlenAllachie 18 Year Old.
A pleasant, light aperitif malt whisky that opens with a soft, fresh, balanced attack, then dries to a short finish. Doughy and buttery on the palate, this textured single malt whisky presents notes of lemon and pineapple with a slightly aniseed and smoky finish.
Nose: Cragganmore 12 Year Old reveals subtle aromas of honey, dried fruit and vanilla, with delicate floral and cereal notes. Feel: On the palate, this single malt offers complex flavors of ripe fruit, toasted hazelnuts and caramel, with a slightly smoky, spicy touch. Finish: The finish is long and warm, marked by notes of oak and candied fruit, leaving a soft, velvety mouthfeel.
Nose: Mac-Talla Strata 15 Year Old reveals smoky, marine aromas, with hints of peat and salt. Feel: On the palate, this single malt offers spicy, woody flavors, balanced by hints of honey and dried fruit. Finish: The finish is long and lingering, leaving notes of oak and vanilla on the palate.
N Caramel sauce, spices, cinnamon and fresh vanilla beans, cocoa, honeycomb and cherries.
