The 12-year-old is made from Bourbon Barrels and finished in sherry casks
The Tomatin distillery is located on the eastern edge of the Monadhliath Mountains, 315 meters above sea level. The distillery has been officially in existence since 1897, but as early as the 15th century, illegal stills could be found in Tomatin, producing spirits bought by cattlemen bringing their cattle from the highest passes of the Highlands to market in Tomatin. The existence of this distillery attracted consumers and transformed the quiet, isolated village of Tomatin into a dynamic place. The distillery produces around 5,000,000 liters of whisky a year from 12 stills, making it one of Scotland's leading distilleries.
