Discover Mannochmore Càrn Mòr 11 yo, a refined Single Malt from the Speyside region of Scotland. At 11 years of age and 47.5% alcohol, this whisky offers a unique, richly flavored experience.
Nose: Powerful, complex and spicy, with hints of Sherry and dried fruit.
Mouth: Round despite the high alcohol content, lovely complexity with notes of vanilla, exotic fruit, sweet spices and Sherry PX well present despite its young age.
Nose: Very distinctively oily, with touches of extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, aromatic herbs (coriander & sage) and a suggestion of smoked lemon peel. A splash of water releases more oiliness, like linseed oil, a gentle waxiness, and a burst of perfumed, aromatic carbolic soap, and finally, a whiff of crème brulee. Mouth: A soft, oily, mouthcoating texture leads into a rich, sweet, smoky palate, with hints of oak moss, treacle, aniseed lozenges and a lovely, sweet, woody/balsamic flavour. This is then followed by smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil. Finish: Finally comes a lingering, sweet/smoky aftertaste, with a touch of cumin, cardamon and the merest hint of coconut.
Nose: Orchard fruit (pear) with a hint of peat, vanilla and malt.
Mouth: Malty and woody, spices, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla. Subtly peaty.
Finish: Smooth and persistent, with a salinity that lingers on the tongue.
