N: Sweet introduction, notes of powdered sugar, crème brûlée and custard.

B: Peat smoke is soft and sweet, with toasted marshmallow notes typical of heavily peated Kilkerran. Notes of gooseberry and parma violet.

F: Sweetness persists with notes of orange pulp.

R: Deep amber with golden highlights. Nose: Notes of oak, cedar, sandalwood and candied fruit. Mouth: Silky. Notes of raisin and oak. Subtle reminiscences of ginger and cinnamon. Finish: Touch of nutmeg.

Nose: Sweet and delicate, a little spicy and deeply exotic. Viney, suggesting white grapes and Manzanilla sherry, then becomes lush, floral and fruity. A hint of vanilla caramel gradually appears. A drop of water lifts the citrus notes and adds hints of sweet caramel.

Mouth: The texture is soft and creamy, the taste is slightly sweet and fruity. It then becomes more lively, with acidity and spicy, peppery, drying tannins. A drop of water initially brings out the fruitiness without diminishing the spice.

Finish: Medium to long, finishing on a dry, tongue-tingling, warmly spicy note with fruity acidity and a pinch of white pepper.

DEFFINITIVE TERMINATION

Nose: Herbaceous, sweet and fragrant. Subtle notes of smoke, lemon, linseed oil and candied walnuts follow. A little water and the perfume intensifies, releasing heather honey, a touch of creosote and a tiny trace of tent cloth.

Mouth: Beautiful sparkling texture with real effervescence on the tongue. Initially intensely sweet, it evolves towards anise, caramel, cookies, peppermint, menthol, tar and coffee.

Finish: On soot and tar with a taste of cough drops, bitter oranges and fine tannins.

Nose: Tomatin Cask Strength reveals intense notes of ripe fruit, honey and spice, with a touch of vanilla.
Feel: On the palate, this Scottish single malt reveals itself to be powerful and warm, with flavors of dried fruit, caramel and oak.
Finish: The finish is long and spicy, leaving notes of black pepper and burnt wood on the palate.
