R: Deep amber with golden highlights. Nose: Notes of oak, cedar, sandalwood and candied fruit. Mouth: Silky. Notes of raisin and oak. Subtle reminiscences of ginger and cinnamon. Finish: Touch of nutmeg.
Nose: Sweet and delicate, a little spicy and deeply exotic. Viney, suggesting white grapes and Manzanilla sherry, then becomes lush, floral and fruity. A hint of vanilla caramel gradually appears. A drop of water lifts the citrus notes and adds hints of sweet caramel.
Mouth: The texture is soft and creamy, the taste is slightly sweet and fruity. It then becomes more lively, with acidity and spicy, peppery, drying tannins. A drop of water initially brings out the fruitiness without diminishing the spice.
Finish: Medium to long, finishing on a dry, tongue-tingling, warmly spicy note with fruity acidity and a pinch of white pepper.
A rich, smooth and creamy single malt whisky whose dark aromas incorporate Benrinnes' fresh green estery characteristics, typical of Speyside. This pleasantly textured single malt is rich and lush, with meaty, flavorful characteristics.
Nose: Herbaceous, sweet and fragrant. Subtle notes of smoke, lemon, linseed oil and candied walnuts follow. A little water and the perfume intensifies, releasing heather honey, a touch of creosote and a tiny trace of tent cloth.
Mouth: Beautiful sparkling texture with real effervescence on the tongue. Initially intensely sweet, it evolves towards anise, caramel, cookies, peppermint, menthol, tar and coffee.
Finish: On soot and tar with a taste of cough drops, bitter oranges and fine tannins.
