A versatile, smooth and easy-drinking whisky, with a good balance of sweet and dry notes and a medium-length finish. This 12-year-old single malt whisky is surprisingly rich and sherried, with notes of baked fruits, spices and chocolate.

Surprisingly clean, dry, direct and refreshing. With its light, grassy, herbal notes, Mannochmore is perfect as an aperitif.

Nose: Extremely pleasant, fruit salad (pears and apples) with hints of orange and sweet spices.

Mouth: It's a struggle between sweet and dry notes. Honeyed, juicy with notes of marzipan, cinnamon cakes and hints of blood oranges.

Finish: Sweet and sour right through to the aftertaste. Playful and easy despite its power.

Nose: Very distinctively oily, with touches of extra virgin olive oil, sweet briar wood, aromatic herbs (coriander & sage) and a suggestion of smoked lemon peel. A splash of water releases more oiliness, like linseed oil, a gentle waxiness, and a burst of perfumed, aromatic carbolic soap, and finally, a whiff of crème brulee.
Mouth: A soft, oily, mouthcoating texture leads into a rich, sweet, smoky palate, with hints of oak moss, treacle, aniseed lozenges and a lovely, sweet, woody/balsamic flavour. This is then followed by smoked apricots and eucalyptus oil.
Finish: Finally comes a lingering, sweet/smoky aftertaste, with a touch of cumin, cardamon and the merest hint of coconut.

Tasting notes: Honey, citrus and spicy cloves. Sherry and fruitcake, followed by hints of rich dark chocolate and a soothing, enveloping finish.
