Signatory's Linkwood is a 10-year-old single malt matured in oloroso sherry casks. This expression captures the distillery’s distinctive style, offering robust flavours of dried fruits such as raisins, figs, and dates, complemented by spicy, sweet notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and toffee.
A soft, pleasant, lighter-style Speyside single malt, with tropical, fruity notes of ripe peaches and pineapple and impressions of lemon. Fresh, green nose with wisps of smoke, then light, smooth sweetness that balances out on a dry finish.
Nose: Overall dry, vinous impression supported by spicy, woody notes. Seductive aromas of tart red berries, vanilla, a hint of wax. A little water softens the nose and relaxes the aroma, without much alteration.
Mouth: Ultra-unctuous, gourmet texture. Barley sugar, pinch of salt, suggestions of currant and crunchy grape. At reduced strength, it's not as tart, but still spicy; the sweetness is enhanced but the mouth-watering spicy heat remains.
Finish: Long and dry with pepper and mild spice. With milder water, now with a trace of fondant in the aftertaste.
Mouth: Oak smoke with aromas of honey and warm spices.
Finish: Long and smooth.
