Nose: Hazelnut and smoke, accompanied by malty sweetness and ripe fruit. Then come apricots in syrup, ripe pear, malted vanilla reminiscent of cracked barley, crème brûlée and sweet honey. The smoky peat note is discreet but nevertheless quite present. This evokes shoe polish and leather and earth.

Mouth: Soft and mellow, comes the heavily roasted malt reminiscent of smoked muesli with fruit and honey. Then come smoked apricot jam, crushed barley, peat, burnt heather, citrus and redcurrant. With a drop of water, its smoke and elegant minerality become stronger, offering a magnificent counterbalance to its sweetness.



Finish: Sweet with earthy flavors, followed by a smoky, spicy and herbal note.

This bottling is dedicated to the Swiss physician, naturalist, humanist, polyhistorian and encyclopedist Conrad Gessner (1516-1565). In his book 'The History of Four Foot Beats and Serpents', Gessner described and drew the mythical animal Seawolf on page 580. The distillery's current logo is taken from Conrad Gessner's notes. B: Peat smoke is soft and sweet, with toasted marshmallow notes typical of heavily peated Kilkerran. Notes of gooseberry and parma violet.

F: Sweetness persists with notes of orange pulp.

Nose : Walnut loaf with buttercream, jammy berries, Malted Milk biscuits, and vanilla.

Palate : Creamy praline and milk chocolate join rich layers of caramel and biscuity malt, with butter pastries in tow.

Finish : Syrupy flapjack and creamy barley linger with toffee, chocolate, a touch of ginger, and toasted oak.

Nose: Honey, leather and gingerbread, followed by prunes and fresh lemon peel.

Mouth: Velvety texture, dark chocolate, tropical fruit and spice.

Finish: Long and mellow, with notes of vanilla and citrus.
