Evan Williams Kentucky Straight Bourbon is the second best-selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon in the world, a phenomenon made all the more remarkable by the fact that it comes from a family-owned company. Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc. was founded by the Shapira family in 1934, shortly after the end of Prohibition. To this day, the company remains family-owned and operated by the third generation. The founder of the first distillery authorized in 1783 on the banks of the Ohio River gave his name to this bourbon. As corn grows very well in the region, Evan Williams used it as the base for the mash from which he carefully crafted his whisky. Even today, completely in the spirit of the man to whom the brand owes its name, the master distillers take great care to produce a top-quality Kentucky Straight Bourbon, thanks to the raw materials and the maturation process.
