Each of the whiskies in the Heritage Collection presents the fundamental intent of the Westland house style that emerged in those early days: balanced, forward-thinking whisky that honors tradition but also takes it forward in new ways. All are made from 100% malted barley, fermented with a unique Belgian saison ale yeast and aged in a variety of cask types, leading to new, distinctly American flavor profiles. From this starting point, each expression offers a variation on a house style that departs in its own way from the expected conventions of single malt whisky.
Nose: Sonoma Rye reveals rich aromas of rye, toffee and spicy notes. Mouth: On the palate, flavors of vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruit are present, for a complex and balanced taste experience. Finish: The finish is long and warm, marked by woody and spicy notes that linger on the palate.
Single Barrel Select layers subtle notes of caramel and spice with bright fruity notes and sweet aromas for a uniquely flavorful Tennessee whisky. These notes may vary depending on the cask bottled.
