The grapes used include the Arinto, Boal, Esgana Cão, Folgasão, Gouveio, Viosinho and Rabigato varieties. Mainly grown on the upper slopes of the Douro Valley, the individual wines are aged in oak vats for around three years, where they acquire mellowness and character. They are blended to produce a rich white port in the traditional sweet, full-bodied style.
Nose: Sweet notes of sherry, malted caramel, fruit (apricot and peach) and a hint of honey.
Mouth: The complexity of the nose is confirmed. Slightly woody flavor punctuated by hints of harshness which, combined with notes of vanilla and caramel, offer pleasant interactions while offering remarkable balance.
