Located off the west coast of Scotland, Islay is at the mercy of the mighty Atlantic Ocean, whose violent storms have shaped the landscape for thousands of years. These elements have inspired this magnificent single malt whisky from one of the island's most famous distilleries.
Nose : Soft candle smoke and manuka honey sweetness open this dram, and the complexity builds in notes of cranberries, white pepper, potpourri and orange.
Palate : Notes of honeycomb, icing sugar, crystallised ginger and demerara sugar emerge on the palate, along with a brine, salt note reminiscent of salted caramel.
Finish : Peat smoke continues to the finish, with notes of eucalyptus, mint and gorse bush.
Nose: Compass Box Hedonism reveals subtle aromas of vanilla, caramel and dried fruit. Mouth: On the palate, this whisky reveals notes of crème brûlée, coconut and cinnamon, for a velvety, gourmet texture. Finish: The finish is long and sweet, giving way to nuances of honey and spice that linger pleasantly on the palate.
Nose: Pungent peat smoke. Phenolic with a little coastal breeze.
Mouth: Beautiful soft peat, a little iodine and sea salt, hints of vanilla and a little spice.
Finish: Length with big waves of smoke. Fantastic.
