To honor the beginnings of The GlenDronach whisky making, master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie has crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles established by our founder James Allardice nearly two centuries ago. In those days, it was traditional in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of barley malting, creating a rich, warm earthy smoke. This whisky has been aged in the finest Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Oloroso Sherry and Port casks,
Nose: Glenglassaugh Sandend reveals rich notes of ripe fruit, honey and vanilla, with a subtle hint of smoky wood. Mouth: On the palate, this single malt reveals complex flavors of tropical fruit, caramel and spice, with a smooth, velvety texture. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of oak, dried fruit and dark chocolate on the palate.
