To honor the beginnings of The GlenDronach whisky making, master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie has crafted The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated using the same principles established by our founder James Allardice nearly two centuries ago. In those days, it was traditional in the Highlands to burn peat in the kiln towards the end of barley malting, creating a rich, warm earthy smoke. This whisky has been aged in the finest Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Oloroso Sherry and Port casks,
Nose: Nc' Nean SH 11 reveals rich, complex aromas of peat, dried fruit and honey, typical of Highland whiskies.
Palate: On the palate, this single malt is balanced, with notes of malt, vanilla, pepper and red fruit, offering a silky texture and a long finish.
Finish: The finish of Nc' Nean SH 11 is warm and persistent, leaving notes of oak, smoke and ripe fruit on the palate, for an intense, flavorful taste experience.
Nose: Peaty, salty notes emerge, followed by hints of ripe fruit and vanilla. Feel: On the palate, this whisky reveals itself to be powerful with aromas of smoke and dried fruit, accompanied by a touch of honey and pepper. Finish: The finish is long and warm, leaving lingering notes of peat, salt and dark chocolate on the palate.
Nose: Powerful and incredibly aromatic, notes of chocolate, blackcurrant, heavy notes of leather, bacon. More delicate floral aromas of violet and lavender.
Mouth: oily on the palate, releasing peppery, Espresso and dark fruit aromas (blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, plum). A hint of aniseed punctuates.
Finish: Long and persistent. Aromas of hot sauce, coffee and black cherries.
Nose: Toffee and molasses mingle with black honey and charcoal-smoked barley.
Mouth: Burnt orange, molasses, cloves and smoked bramble.
