This expression was launched in 2020 with a refined formula and a new label design to represent the brand. While remaining a smooth, harmonious malt blend, the formula also features an exquisite balance of elegant sweetness, complexity and depth, as well as a rich, smoky mouthfeel.

It's a signature label in honor of Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru, the first Japanese to master whisky-making in Scotland and bring that expertise back to Japan. While a disciplined craftsman, he was also an inquisitive and open-minded person. This is a tribute to the perfect balance and complexity achieved by the precise blending inherited from the founder.
