A rich, bold, smoky expression in the Glasgow 1770 Signature range.
Made with the finest malted barley that has been smoked with aromatic heather-rich peat from the Scottish Highlands; combined with exceptionally pure Loch Katrine water and distilled in our traditional copper stills. Aged in virgin oak casks and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, bottled at 46% ABV, unchill-filtered and natural in color.
Nose: Heathery smoke balanced with subtle floral notes Palate: Gentle “peat-reek” flavours with hints of citrus tones and malty nuttiness Finish: Lingering smoke and peat with a touch of malted barley sweetness
Nose: A bright and vibrant start to this dram, there are notes of green apples, gorse bush, wine gums, and a mineral note.
Palate: The palate is well balanced with a touch of peat smoke, and sweet notes of icing sugar and white chocolate. Notes of tomato plant, sunflower seeds and linseed oil develop.
Finish: The finish brings notes of honey and gooseberries.
