Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks is an extra-aged rum designed to mimic the rum found in Chairman's Reserve's original forgotten casks, which were preserved from the terrible fire at St. Lucia Distillers in May 2007. The cellar master was forced to find an unusual storage space for his rum casks while the distillery was being refurbished. These casks were misplaced during this period of confusion. These 'forgotten casks' resulted in a rum that was too old for the original Chairman's Reserve blend. It was therefore decided that this rum would be marketed on its own, and it has been enthusiastically received the world over.
